As a delayed Father's Day tribute (and in response to a request!), I wanted to share some things that I love best about my dad.
1) He is incredibly supportive. No matter what I have pursued, he has been behind me 150%. From driving me to youth symphony every week when I was little to finding a way to get me a new viola when I was in college to flying the whole family out to Cincinnati to support me at my masters graduation, he's been cheering me on the whole way.
2) He loves his family. Granted, sometimes he has funny relationships with some of them (he and Joni seem more like siblings), he loves having family around and always invites me and Tyler over for Sunday dinner (as long as we bring green jello!).
3) He is the epitome of selflessness. Everything he does is an act of service. He works tirelessly day in and day out to support his family and serve others. He is so great at working with his school kids and troubled youth. He is always helping us out as well, either helping us build our grape trellis or hauling away our cut grass or anything else. I can also remember times when I was a college student (oh wait, I still am!) up late working on homework and he would bring by a blizzard or pizza or something else to keep me going.
4) He is friendly. There are very few people in
Rexburg that don't know and love my dad. He loves talking to people, and I'm always running into people who have had great conversations with him.
5) He is my friend. He calls me up every once in a while just to see how I'm doing, and he makes sure I'm not working too hard (which is something that he needs to work on also!).
So there you go. Those of you who know my dad can probably think of even more, but here are just a few great things about him. I love you Dad!!
