Little People Updates

Isaac:

Isaac is becoming such a big boy! He has a fierce independent personality and says "My do it!" about almost everything. It takes a great deal of patience to let him do things himself, but it is fun to see him growing up. There have been quite a few battles of wills, but he is still a very sweet boy. He still loves his blankie, and thankfully the boys are still taking naps most days (for now). He talks so well, he seems so much older to me now. He speaks in complete sentences, and the way he phrases thinks always makes me laugh.

We have also started potty training! I was dreading this more than anything, but he's doing really well. He's not completely trained yet, but he's far enough along that I'm not on edge all day long worrying that he's going to make a mess. It's also going to be really nice not having three kids in diapers! $$$

Hunter:

Hunter is still my rambunctious little monkey. He has so much energy, and always seems to be running in three different directions at once. He has really progressed lately with his comprehension and obedience, although he still tests us all the time to see what he can get away with. Hunter has also improved so much with his speech. He's not completely articulate yet, but he talks nonstop and we can understand most of what he says.

Hunter has also decided that he wants to join the potty training adventures. I really didn't want to do both boys at the same time, but they didn't really give me a choice. Hunter still wears diapers all the time, but he gets to participate in everything else. We'll probably start officially potty training him next month sometime, once Isaac is pretty much trained. As it is, though, I feel like I'm always in the bathroom with one of them!

Clara:

Our little munchkin is growing up too fast. She is almost 7 months old! Clara has become quite a little ball of energy herself, and loves to jump in her exersaucer or while holding onto someone's hands. She is also a little chunky monkey. She has pretty short limbs, but she's got lots of yummy rolls and a plump little tummy. We call her a little tootsie roll. Speaking of rolling, she rolls everywhere and is so close to crawling. She loves her brothers so much, and seems to be pretty motivated to follow them around. Clara is so social and loves to be at the dinner table with everyone. She especially has a soft spot for Isaac, and he makes her laugh more than anyone else can. No teeth yet, but I'm guessing she'll get her first one this weekend.

I love my little family so much! Every day is exhausting and messy and frustrating, and I'm so thankful these little people came to our family.
