Happy Springtime

26 degrees with 40 mile per hour winds. Need I say more?!?

The end is (somewhat) in sight!

I had a meeting with my advisor last weekend. She was very helpful, and we had a great talk. It looks like, as long as the classes I needed are offered when I need them, I will be able to finish my coursework May 2010! It will be so nice not to have to go to classes at night after a full day of teaching.

Of course, I will still have to take my comprehensive exams September 2010.

And propose my dissertation, which usually takes about months.

And do the research for my dissertation, which will probably take another six months.

And write my dissertation.

And defend my dissertation.

Okay, so maybe I'm not so close.



On a happier note, I can see little tulip greens poking out of my snow in my front garden!!

Random Hilarity

On Friday night Tyler and I watched a few rounds of Donkey Basketball. It was very random, and very funny. The players all had to ride donkeys, and if they had to get off to retrieve the ball, they had to drag the donkeys with them. Some of the players got bucked a few times, and one even got kicked in the stomach. We were laughing pretty hard through the whole thing!

The Scent of Heaven

I've been mildly stressed out, lately, to say the least. Last weekend I had to play in a concert in Idaho Falls, so on my way I stopped for some retail therapy. I usually hate spending money, but I didn't really have to this time. Tyler gave me a gift certificate to Bath and Body Works for Christmas, and I've been waiting to spend it.

This is my absolute favorite scent. It is part of the aromatherapy line, called "Energy". The flavor is Orange Ginger (mom, it smells exactly like that candle you used to have. I splurged, and got the lotion and candle.

I keep the candle in our kitchen, but I don't light it. I just smell it and my whole day gets better.
